Q4: If I catch one rak'ah of the 'Isha' prayer, do I perform one rak'ah and then two rak'ahs , or two rak'ahs and then one rak'ah? Do I recite only al-Fatihah, or a surah along with the remaining rak'ahs?
A4: If you catch one rak'ah of a four-rak'ah prayer, such as 'Isha', you perform one rak'ah in which you recite al-Fatihah and a surah, then you sit for the tashahhud. Then you perform
two rak'ahs in which you recite al-Fatihah, then you sit for the tashahhud and conclude the prayer with the taslim. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
