The ruling on purifying a vessel with detergents from a dog’s licking

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The listener: Hashim Isa Hussein Hashim sent a message asking about a hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He quotes the meaning of the hadith, saying: "If a dog licks in a vessel, let it be washed seven times with water, and the eighth with soil, or one of them with soil," or as he said. It is mentioned in the noble hadith, and he asks and says: If we suffice with soap instead of soil, because it contains chemical compounds, some of which are found in soil, and life is clear in this matter, does this mean that we are directing the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? We ask for guidance and clarification. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
The hadith is authentic from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
If a dog licks in the vessel of any of you, let him wash it seven times, the first of them with soilإذا ولغ الكلب في إناء أحدكم فليغسله سبعًا أولاهن بالتراب
As-Sunan al-Kubra lil-Nasa'i 64:468
It was narrated by Muslim. In another narration, it is:
Wash it seven times, and rub the eighth with soilاغسلوه سبعًا، وعفروه الثامنة بالتراب
It is called the eighth because it is an addition to the seven washings. Otherwise, the washings are seven, and the eighth is soil with one of the washings. It is better for it to be with the first one, so that the last washings purify the vessel from all aspects.
And if soil is available, it is better than anything else, in accordance with the authentic hadith. Perhaps there is a special secret in soil. So, whenever soil is found, it is better for complying with the command of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
As for when soil is not available, soap, lye, and other things that remove the traces are sufficient, if Allah wills, and praise be to Allah. But if soil is available, it is better for compliance and more beloved to me, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned it explicitly. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good and do you good.
