How the congregational prayer is attained

Question:
From the outskirts of al-Bahah, this is a message sent by our brother, 'A'id Muhsin Hadhir al-Ghamidi. We presented some of his questions in a previous session, and in this session he asks and says: If a person says the takbir of ihram before the imam says the taslim, does he attain the congregation or not? May Allah reward you with good.
Answer:
The Sunnah, the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), indicates that the congregational prayer is attained by the rak'ah. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Muwatta Malik 1:15 So the virtue of the congregation is attained by attaining the rak'ah or more. However, if a person has an excuse that caused him to miss the prayer, he still receives the reward of the congregation, even if he did not pray in the congregation. This is like a sick person who was confined by his illness, then he felt energetic and hoped to catch the congregation but did not, or like a person who set out for the congregation but an incident occurred that prevented him, such as needing to relieve himself, so he went to perform wudu' or something similar from the legal excuses. In this case, the virtue of the congregation is hoped for him if he did not neglect it. But if a person arrives while the imam is in the tashahhud, he joins him, and he has the virtue in that, due to his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih al-Bukhari 635 This is a general statement that covers whatever the believer catches of the imam's prayer, even if it is only the tashahhud. He joins him, and when the imam says the taslim, he stands and makes up what he missed. However, he does not attain the virtue of the congregation except by attaining the rak'ah, as mentioned earlier.
It is obligatory for the believer to hasten to the prayer and to rush after hearing the adhan so that he can attain the prayer in its entirety, and so that he can perform what Allah has prescribed before it, such as the rawatib of the Zuhr prayer, or whatever Allah makes easy for him of rak'ahs before the 'Asr, Maghrib, or 'Isha' prayers.
This is how the believer should rush and hasten to this great obligation when he hears the adhan, or before the adhan when it is near, so that he can reach the mosque calmly, and so that he can pray whatever Allah makes easy for him before the prayer. This is what the believer should do; in fact, it is obligatory upon him so that he does not miss the congregation. The same applies to the Fajr prayer.
The point is that it is obligatory upon him to rush and hasten at a time that ensures he will catch the prayer from its beginning. If he has extra time to pray whatever Allah makes easy for him before the prayer, such as the greeting of the mosque or the rawatib, that is a great good. Yes.
