Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Prolonging the supplication at the completion of the Qur'an now, they take an hour, or sometimes an hour and a quarter, is this from?

Answer:
Insisting in supplication and increasing in supplication, all of it is good. Increase in supplication, for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
There is no servant who supplicates to Allah with a supplication in which there is no sin or severing of family ties, except that Allah gives him one of three things: either his supplication is hastened for him in this world, or it is stored for him in the Hereafter, or He averts from him an evil equal to it.
, they said: O Messenger of Allah, should we then increase? He said:
Allah is more.
, so Allah loves the increase in supplication.
