The supplication prescribed for visiting the sick

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
When a believer visits a sick person, what is the supplication he should make for him? And what was the supplication of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) when he visited the sick?

Answer:
When he visited the sick person, he said: "Purification, if Allah wills." So let him say: "Purification, if Allah wills," and supplicate for him with mercy, well-being, and healing. This is what is prescribed.
When he visits him, he should supplicate for him with well-being and healing, advise him to fear Allah and be patient, and remind him that illnesses are an expiation and a reduction of sins. This is a reminder of Allah and an encouragement for him. He should supplicate for his healing and that his illness be a purification and an expiation.
