The ruling on wiping over leather socks after removing them following the wiping

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
As long as the person is in a state of ritual purity through wiping?

Answer:
If one wipes over the leather socks, and then he enters a state of ritual impurity after having put on the socks while in a state of ritual purity—meaning he becomes impure after putting them on while pure, and then wipes over them, or removes them before that—he does not put them on except while in a state of ritual purity. His state of ritual purity has become invalid. Even if he wipes over them in the new state of ritual purity, it does not count, because the leather sock is a condition for the continuation of the state of ritual purity. So if he removes it, the state of ritual purity is broken. This is the position of the majority of scholars: that removing the leather sock after having wiped over it following a state of ritual impurity breaks the state of ritual purity. In fact, the leather sock remains on him until the time limit expires. If he wants to remove it before the time limit ends, there is no harm; he removes it, but he must renew his state of ritual purity. His state of ritual purity does not remain with him if he has become impure.
As for if he puts on the leather socks while in a state of ritual purity, and then removes them before becoming impure, there is nothing wrong with that; he remains in his state of ritual purity. But if he becomes impure, then purifies himself, and wipes over them, and then removes them, the state of ritual purity is invalid according to the majority of scholars, according to most scholars, and this is like a consensus.
