Ruling on purchasing expensive furniture and cars

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
He says: What is the ruling on selling luxurious, high-priced cars and expensive furniture?
Answer: This is a broad matter. If the buyer is able to afford it, and his intention is not extravagance or showing off, but rather he seeks what is good in terms of beauty or adornment, and he is worthy of it because he has the wealth and the ability, then we know of no harm in it. If he buys a luxurious car or good furniture, we know of no harm in it. However, humility is good. If he is humble before Allah and uses the moderate option, that is better; it is better and more purposeful, so that he can spend the surplus on charity, helping the poor, and contributing to charitable projects. The conclusion is that economy and moderation in matters are better. If he buys something beautiful and valuable, whether a car or furniture, because he is able to afford it and wants it for beauty, not for showing off or boasting, then there is no harm in that, if Allah wills.
