The Ruling on Overwhelming Drowsiness in the Fajr Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: He has another question in this letter, in which he says: Sometimes drowsiness overcomes me during the Fajr prayer, so I do not know what I said or what I did, such as the recitation and the tashahhud. However, it is not deep sleep that would invalidate the wudu'. What should I do? Please advise us, may Allah reward you.
The Shaykh: As long as your consciousness is with you, you understand the prayer, and you are following the imam, your prayer is valid. The default is that you performed what the imam performs. This is the default and the apparent state of your action with the imam until you know otherwise. If you know that you did not recite the tashahhud with the imam, you recite it and then say the taslim. And if you know that you left out al-Fatihah from one of the rak'ahs, the matter is broad in this case; because the imam bears it for you when you make a mistake, when you are ignorant, and when you are unaware of what happened from you. The imam bears that for you, if Allah wills. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good. And may Allah bless you.
