Ruling on a son disobeying his father by bringing a video player into the house

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
My father swore an oath not to bring a video player into the house. Given my circumstances, I brought it in without his knowledge. What is the ruling? Please advise us, may Allah reward you with good.
Answer: First, you are a sinner in this case, because it is obligatory for you to obey your father in what is good, and this is part of what is good. A video player brings no good; it brings only evil, because what is generally found in video players is indecent images, songs, and entertainment. Therefore, you are not permitted to bring it in, even if it is sound. You must obey your father, in order to block the means to harm. You are a sinner by doing this, and you must repent to Allah and remove the video player. Your father owes no expiation because he did not know. But you are the sinner, and it is you who must repent to Allah and remove the video player from the house, in obedience to your father and out of caution against the evil of the video player, because it is generally not free from what angers Allah, such as indecent images, forbidden speech, and blameworthy songs, and the like. We ask Allah for guidance for us and for you.
The presenter: O Allah, amen.
