The obligation to prevent a wife from attending gatherings of amusement

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Some of my female relatives, who are relatives of my wife, gather every week at one of their homes to talk, then listen to songs and dance. I am currently refusing to let my wife go to these gatherings. What is the ruling in this matter? I ask for your guidance and advice.

Answer:
You will be rewarded. If the gathering is for dancing, songs, and corruption, you must prevent her from attending it.
As for if the gathering is among neighbors for good, and for conversations that are permissible, with no harm in it, then there is nothing wrong with visiting the neighbors.
As for if it is for songs and amusement, you have the right to prevent her, and you will be rewarded.
