The Meaning of Orientalism and the Orientalists

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
We ask you to be kind enough to define for the audience the meaning of Orientalism and the Orientalists, because many of them may not understand the word "Orientalists." May Allah reward you with the best reward?

Answer:
Orientalism, and the Orientalists: these are people from among the Christians, the Jews, and other disbelievers. They learned the language of the East, they learned the Arabic language, and they wrote about Islam and about religions. Some of them may be fair and speak the truth, but most of them are not fair and do not speak the truth. Some of them may speak the truth in certain places in order to deceive people, and to insert falsehood and evil in other places. This is from the Christians, the Jews, and others, due to their entry into the East, their acquisition of the language of the East, and their study of the heritage of the East and the religion and guidance that the East had. Their aim is to lead them away from their religion, to make them doubt their religion, and to call them to falsehood, to Christianity, Ba'athism, Judaism, polytheism, and so on. The least of their aims is to make them doubt their religion; the least of their aims is to make them doubters of this religion, so that they have no steadfastness, and they do not have... because of the corrupt ideas, doubts, and wicked deeds that they have cast into their hearts.
