The prohibition of throwing papers containing the name of Allah into trash bins

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the ruling on papers and books that contain the names of Allah and Prophetic hadiths, which are thrown into trash bins and neglected? And what do you advise?

Answer:
This is not permissible. Papers that contain the mention of Allah or Qur'anic verses are not permissible to be thrown into markets, trash bins, or other places of disrespect. Rather, they must be preserved, either by burning them or burying them in clean places.
It is not permissible for anyone who sees them to leave them as they are. Rather, it is obligatory for the one who sees them to take them, so that he may bury them in a clean place, or place them in a clean location, or burn them. As for leaving them in markets to be trampled upon, or in trash bins—may Allah protect us from that—this is an abomination and is not permissible. We ask Allah for safety from it.
