The Refusal of Some People to Distribute the Books of Shaykh Al-Albani

The student: And, honestly, what confuses me more regarding this book, *Riyad al-Salihin*, is that one of our brothers here was a Sufi, belonging to the Naqshbandi and Rifa'i orders, and, praise be to Allah, he has now become a Salafi. He wants to return to Syria... So I said, "I am complaining, and I have no knowledge..." and so on, speaking about himself. Then I metThe Shaykh : Sa'd al-Husayn, and I mentioned this person to him and said, "We need, if there are any books on tawhid (the oneness of Allah), something you can give us." He said, "Okay, there is, if Allah wills, a collection. We will get it and give it to the young man so he can read it before he travels." So I found among this collection a small book, *Riyad al-Salihin*, with the commentaryThe Shaykh : of Shu'ayb al-Arna'ut on it. Honestly, I was confused; I was astonished.

The Shaykh: Small.
The student: Ah, small in size.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner: It is all "Riyad al-Salihin." The book's beginning is small in size, but it is all "Riyad al-Salihin."

The Shaykh: Complete.

The questioner : The entire husk.

The Shaykh: Meaning, it is a reduced version.

The questioner: A reduced version with reduced script. So I said, "Okay, why, may Allah guide them, do they not distribute the bookThe Shaykh : Why do they distribute this book? Even some of our brothers themselves ask, "Why? Do they hold a grudge against the Shaykh so that they did not distribute his book but distributed Shu'ayb al-Arna'ut's book? They know, meaning, the status of the Shaykh." So I do not know, honestly, I was astonished, and I honestly felt upset when I found this matter... So do not rely on it too much. There is a book by the Shaykh, and they distribute another book, belonging to the Kandhalwi, belonging to the Companions.

The Shaykh: Ah, again.
The student: Ah, they distributed it.

The Shaykh: ThisThe Shaykh : Sa'd distributed it.
The student : Yes.

The Shaykh : Glory be to Allah.
The student: He gave it to the young man himself.
Another student: It went back...The Shaykh : Sa'd is fighting...

The Shaykh: A fierce fight.
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh: This is the cause of the passion, becauseThe Shaykh : Al-Albani denounced the Saudi state for cooperating with the disbelievers against the Iraqi people, so their anger fell upon him.
The student : Yes.

The Shaykh: And therefore, they do not publish his books, even though they believe that it is, meaning, more beneficial.
The student: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, even among these people.

The Shaykh: Yes...
The student: Allahu Akbar.

The Shaykh: As it was said, "The land has changed and those upon it, and the face of the earth is dusty and ugly."
