What is the meaning of (when they are left alone with the prohibitions of Allah, they transgress them)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: When they are left alone with the prohibitions of Allah, they transgress them.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner: If you were to elaborate on the simple part, meaning from "when they are left alone with the prohibitions of Allah"?

Another questioner: What are the prohibitions that are transgressed, what is intended?

Another questioner: And what is the seclusion in it, meaning?

The Shaykh: The prohibitions here are not known as seclusion in the common sense of the mind, but the meaning is that when the opportunity is provided for them to transgress the prohibitions of Allah, that is, by committing what Allah has forbidden from the forbidden acts, they hasten to them and do not heed the prohibitions of Allah - Mighty and Majestic - regarding them. The intended meaning of seclusion here is not as it is forbidden for a man to be alone with a non-mahram, no, it is not that, but rather "they were left alone" means they were able to commit the prohibitions and hastened to them. This is like what is said in some of our proverbs in Syria, which is a joke but sometimes matches reality, that one of them was leaving off the prayer, then he repented to Allah, as it appears, and intended that he would pray in the mosque, so he went to the mosque and found the mosque closed. He said, "You are an alcoholic and I am a sinner."

The questioner: Hehehe.

The Shaykh: This is seclusion, give your attention to what is intended. This is seclusion for him to worship Allah - Mighty and Majestic - but because his faith was not strong, his nature returned to its old habit. This is the meaning of the hadith.
