Supplication During Rain

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is supplication prescribed during rain? Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) or the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) do this?

Answer:
Answer: Yes, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say when it rained: “Rain upon us by the grace and mercy of Allah,” and “O Allah, make it a beneficial downpour.” And when the rain became excessive and harm was feared, he would supplicate: “O Allah, around us and not upon us, O Allah, upon the hills, the mountains, the slopes, the valleys, and the places where trees grow,” just as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did.
