Adherence to the Rulers and the Divine Scholars.

Question:
The youth in our present time are required to adhere to their rulers, their country, their divine scholars, and the Muslim community, and not to become divided?

Answer:
Answer: Yes, the youth must be protected. They must be protected from these incoming influences and these deviant ideas that are broadcast to them while they are in their beds and in their cars. Today, negligence in this matter is not permissible. We must take useful precautions, with the permission of Allah. This begins with the parents in the homes, extends to the teachers in the schools, and extends to the preachers and imams of the mosques. Each one must do what is required of him to protect these youth, guide them, and clarify what is being plotted against them. The enemies are still plotting against our youth because they know that the youth are the backbone of the Ummah. So they work to corrupt the minds of the youth. If the youth collapse, the Ummah collapses, and there is no power and no strength except with Allah. So we must not forget this plotting. This is not delegated to a specific party, but every person has a responsibility. Each one must do what is obligatory. If he has authority, he exercises his authority. If he does not have authority, he informs the rulers and the relevant parties in this matter. We must not rely on others and throw the responsibility onto someone else. Each one has a responsibility toward himself, toward the youth of the Ummah, and toward the country as a whole, as His Highness Prince Nayef (may Allah have mercy on him and make Paradise his abode) said when he stated: "Every one of the subjects is a security officer." Every one is a security officer, and this is not specific to the police or the soldiers prepared for that, but every one is a security officer in what he is able to do to preserve this security, through cooperation in righteousness and piety, and through caring for the Ummah, its youth, and the lands of the Muslims. If the efforts were combined, each doing what he can, the enemy would not find an opening for him among us. And we, praise be to Allah, are still on this path, but we fear the influences in the near future, and we fear what has befallen others, what other countries are experiencing now; those that were destroyed, whose people were displaced, and in which the causes of corruption and fitnah were spread. Where did they go? They are gone! They were established states and they were large populations. Now they are torn apart, and there is no power and no strength except with Allah. So we must fear that what befall them may befall us.
