The virtue of attending to all the requirements of the mosque and caring for it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q162: The questioner, A. N. from Yemen, says: A man built a mosque and manages all its affairs, and the mosque is not subject to the endowments (waqf). What is your guidance?
A162: There is nothing wrong with his attending to the requirements of the mosque, the salaries of the imam and the mu'adhdhin, and the mosque servants, and he wants the reward to be for him. This is good, but it is necessary that the endowments (waqf) have oversight of the mosque so that there are not things that are contrary to the rules, so the endowments (waqf) have supervision. As for taking charge of the mosque affairs if its owner wants to do so, may Allah reward him with good.
