Breaking the fast for one day in Ramadan without an excuse

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The seventh question of Fatwa No. ( 20941 )
Q7: What is the ruling on one who breaks the fast for a day in Ramadan with an excuse or without an excuse ?
A7: One who breaks the fast for a day in Ramadan without an excuse is sinful and must make up the fast. However, if he broke it through intercourse, he owes the expiation for intercourse during the day in Ramadan, which is: freeing a slave. If he cannot find one, he must fast for two consecutive months. If he is unable to do so, he must feed sixty poor people. The same applies to a woman. If one breaks the fast with an excuse, such as illness or travel, he must make up the fast and is not sinful. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
