Inflammation of the tooth gums and the occurrence of bleeding after waking from sleep
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 20303 )
Q1: I suffer from inflammation of my tooth gums and bleeding from them as soon as I speak, eat, drink water, or after waking from sleep. This causes me to swallow that blood with my saliva unintentionally, and swallowing saliva is an involuntary act on the part of a person. I have suffered from this phenomenon for five years, despite having visited a specialist doctor with no benefit. What is the ruling of the Shari'ah regarding this, and regarding the months of fasting that I used to fast?
A1: If the blood goes to your throat without your choice, there is no blame on you in the state of fasting or otherwise. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
