Explaining the Variation in Sins

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q314: The questioner asks: Regarding sins and transgressions, do they vary in degree? And does one sin lead to another?
A314: Sins, may Allah protect us from them, have a bad effect, and a person should not be lax in them; because some of them lead to others. So a minor sin leads to a major one, and if sins accumulate upon a servant, they destroy him. Therefore, a Muslim does not belittle a sin, no matter what it is. And if he commits a sin, he should hasten to repent and seek forgiveness for it.
