We see that people differ in their physical forms: short and tall, broad and narrow, thick and lean, yes, and so on. This is something observed. The scholars' difference in understanding is greater than their difference in physical form. For this reason, you find that some of them know nothing, some do not understand and do not memorize, some memorize and understand. There are four categories: the one who memorizes and understands, the one who memorizes but does not understand, the one who understands but does not memorize, and the one who neither memorizes nor understands. Which is the worst of the categories? The last one. And which is the best of the categories? The first one, the one who memorizes and understands. People differ in their understanding, without doubt. A verse from the Book of Allah comes, and some people derive many issues from it, while others know nothing.
