The Ruling on Excusing Ignorance in Matters of Creed

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q 327: The questioner asks: What is the ruling on excusing ignorance in matters related to creed?
A 327: If this ignorance cannot be removed because he is in an area where there is no knowledge, no scholars, and he has not heard anything from the Qur'an or the Sunnah, and he is cut off from the world, then he is excused for his ignorance, unless he finds someone who can teach him.
However, if he lives among Muslims, in Muslim lands, and hears the Qur'an, hears the hadith, and hears the words of the scholars, then he is not excused for his ignorance in his creed, because this can be removed by asking and learning.
