Fatwa number ( 16167 )
Q: I performed Hajj two years ago, and on the last day of stoning the pillars , I picked up the pebbles from outside Mina , toward Makkah al-Mukarramah . Is it obligatory to pick up the pebbles from Mina or from Muzdalifah? Likewise, on the last day
of stoning, at the middle pillar, I did not confirm that the pebbles fell inside the enclosure due to very heavy congestion, and my strong suspicion is that they fell inside the enclosure, knowing that I am aware of the obligation of the pebbles falling inside the enclosure
A : It is permissible to pick up the pebbles for stoning the pillars from any place inside Mina or outside it, and your stoning of the pillars on the last day in the enclosure, based on your strong suspicion, suffices for you, and the doubt that arose after the stoning has no effect. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
