Wearing socks by a person in the state of ihram

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 15681 )
Q: I performed 'Umrah and Hajj as a mutamatti' last year, which was my first Hajj, and I wore socks (sharab) while in the state of ihram, having mistakenly read that this was valid, whereas wearing socks is restricted to women. I ask for clarification to correct this error, hoping for the easiest of the opinions. If an expiation is required, please specify its type; if it is fasting, please specify its duration; and if it is a sacrificial animal, please specify its cash value, the entity to which it is sent, and the designated time for sending it. Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings.
A : If the matter is as you described, then you owe nothing for wearing the socks; because you are excused due to ignorance of the ruling. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
