Ruling on Wearing Socks and Leather Socks for a Woman in Ihram

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
In the second question from this questioner, she says: If a person is in ihram, then takes off the socks and then puts them back on, and this happens while in ihram, what is the ruling on that?

The Shaykh: Repeat.

The presenter: The questioner says: She took off the socks and then put them back on... The questioner says...

Answer:
There is nothing wrong with a woman wearing socks, taking them off, and wearing them again; however, she must not cover her hands with gloves while in ihram. She should not wear gloves, nor should she cover her face with a niqab. She should cover her face with a shaylah or something similar. As for wearing socks on her feet, or "dusus" (thin socks), or leather socks (khuffayn), there is nothing wrong with that. A man is prohibited from doing so; if he is in ihram, he must not wear leather socks unless he is unable to find sandals. If he cannot find sandals, he may wear leather socks. As for the woman, she is permitted to wear leather socks and socks during her ihram for Hajj and 'Umrah. There is no blame on her. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
