Beginning the Tawaf from the Yemeni Corner

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 15864 )
Q: I performed the rituals of 'Umrah during the last ten days of the blessed month of Ramadan in the year 1412 AH. Due to my lack of complete knowledge of the rituals, when I began the tawaf, I did not start from the Black Stone but rather from the Yemeni Corner , out of my ignorance of the conditions and obligations. I completed the rest of the rituals correctly, if Allah wills. After several days, I read in some books that one must begin the tawaf from the Black Stone. We ask you, may Allah preserve you, to inform us of the consequences of this, and whether my 'Umrah is deficient or valid, given my ignorance of the starting point of the tawaf? Please inform us, may Allah preserve you.
A : What the questioner did in the tawaf by starting from the Yemeni Corner is considered an error; because the start is from the Black Stone . However, this error does not affect the validity of his tawaf; because it is considered an addition to the first lap, and it does not harm if he completed the seventh lap and ended at the Black Stone . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
