Zakah on the capital of a mudarabah partnership

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 14112 )
Q: I gave one of the companies a sum of money for trade in a mudarabah partnership two years ago, and the owner of the company has not given me an official account, nor do I know what the company lost or what it gained. The question: Do I have to pay zakah on this amount, even if this amount were in my possession, zakah would be obligatory on it?
A: Zakah is obligatory on the capital of the mudarabah partnership mentioned. If it has made a profit, and a lunar year has passed over the profit, you pay the zakah on the profit along with the zakah on the capital, provided that the capital of the mudarabah partnership reaches the nisab and a lunar year has passed over it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
