Fatwa number ( 15701 )
Q: I work in these blessed lands and receive an amount of (1000 riyals) every month. Do I have to pay its zakah at the end of the year on the income I take back to my homeland, and is the payment only at the end of the year?
A: It is obligatory for a Muslim who has dirhams reaching the nisab or more, and a lunar year has passed over them, to pay their zakah in the amount of one-quarter of one-tenth, and to give it to the eligible recipients in his country.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
