Is the diamond worn continuously subject to zakah?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q3: Is the diamond worn continuously subject to zakah?
A3: There is no zakah on diamonds; because they are not one of the two currencies—gold and silver—so zakah is not obligatory on them unless they are offered for trade. If they are offered for sale and purchase, they become items of trade, and zakah becomes obligatory on them when a lunar year has passed from the time they were offered for trade. They are appraised at the end of each lunar year, and if their value reaches the nisab or more, it is obligatory to pay out one-fifth of their value at the time of appraisal. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
