Is it permissible to address a person to whom the ruling of disbelief applies as a disbeliever?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible to address a person to whom the ruling of disbelief applies as a disbeliever?

The Shaykh : It is better not to address him as a disbeliever, because this leads to fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) and evil. However, one should say to him: "If you do not repent to Allah, you are a disbeliever." This statement should be made clear to him. As for addressing him with "O disbeliever" or the like, which incites fitnah (trial, discord or temptation), I do not think that is permissible.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : And praise be to Allah, as long as we are in a state of sufficiency regarding this matter, we can refrain from it and say to him: "This action is disbelief, so return to your Lord and return to your religion," and we should advise him.

The questioner : Yes.
