Fatwa No. ( 21894 )
Q: We inform you that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) guides many people in various parts of the world, and this is due to calling to Allah in homes and the callers going out to faith-based environments, and this is usually 3 days a month, 40 days a year, and 4 months in a lifetime. This is an arrangement for this effort, as many works do not become organized and continue except through arrangement, like the attendance of employees and others in various fields of life. And His Excellency, the Director of the Office of Da'wah and Guidance,
and the Awareness of Expatriate Communities, in Buraydah, Shaykh 'Abd al-'Aziz al-Tuwajiri from Pakistan, did not find any religious innovation in their talk. The question, O honorable Shaykh: What is the ruling on this arrangement? May Allah reward you and your time, and may Allah benefit Islam and the Muslims with you and make you a storehouse for that? Give us a ruling, may you be rewarded.

A: Calling to Allah is the profession of the Prophets and their followers, as Allah the Exalted said:
Say, "This is my way; I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow me. And exalted is Allah; and I am not of those who associate others with Him."
[Yusuf 12:108]
, and the methodology of calling to Allah is taken from the Book and the Sunnah and from the biography of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), not from the terminology of groups for which there is no evidence from the Book and the Sunnah. And this methodology mentioned in the question has no evidence from the Book and the Sunnah; rather, it is from the invention of a group of people. And from every person, some of his words are taken and some are left, except the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). And any call that does not focus on correcting the creed, enjoining the singling out of Allah in worship, forbidding religious innovations and newly invented matters, and receiving beneficial knowledge derived from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) from the hands of scholars – then it is not a correct call; because it contradicts the methodology of the Prophets in their calling to Allah. For every prophet among the prophets began with his people by saying to them:
O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Himيَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَهٍ غَيْرُهُ
[Al-A'raf 7:59]

,
And when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Mu'adh to Yemen, he said to him: "You will come to a people from the People of the Book, so let the first thing you call them to be the testimony that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. If they respond to that, inform them that Allah has made obligatory upon them five prayers in the day and night. If they respond to that, inform them that Allah has made obligatory upon them a charity to be taken from their rich and returned to their poor."
So the first thing he began with was calling to the oneness of Allah, without specifying it by the week, month, or year; because this specification has no evidence, and because the need for calling is constant.
