Q: Is the teething of children a Sunnah, since some people in this era do it with their children, teething them with dates or sweets, or is it specific to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?
A: The teething of a newborn is a Sunnah established from the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding the children of some of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), and this indicates generality for his Ummah (peace and blessings be upon him), based on the saying of Allah
