Conditions of the Woman's Hijab

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q2: We hear a lot among us in Sudan that the specific Sudanese attire for women, consisting of the thobe and the dress, is part of the Shari'ah hijab. Is this correct, and what are the conditions of Islamic attire?
A2: The thobe and dress are not sufficient for the woman's hijab; rather, it is necessary to cover the face from men who are not among her mahrams (relatives one may not marry); for Allah the Exalted said:
O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garmentsيَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لأَزْوَاجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ جَلابِيبِهِنَّ
[Al-Ahzab 33:59]
And He said:
to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chestsوَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ
[An-Nur 24:31]
, and the khimar is the head covering, and He ordered that it be thrown over the chest, which necessitates covering the face. And in the hadith of A'ishah , the women, while in a state of ihram with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), would let their khimars hang over their faces when men passed by them. It is also necessary that the garment be loose on the woman's body, hanging down from
behind her to cover her legs, and that it be wide so that the contours of her body do not show, and that it not contain any adornment that draws attention.
