Q3: I was the principal of a school, and sometimes I would receive amounts allocated for specific systems, such as technical, sports, and other activities, but I would take a large portion of them and spend only a little, and I do not know now the amount I took. I have now repented, so how do I clear my conscience of this calamity? May Allah forgive you, O Shaykh, and pardon you, and prolong your life in His obedience, and conclude your deeds with good, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
A3: Strive to determine the amounts you took and return them to the school fund. If that is not possible, give them in charity to the poor with the intention that it is on behalf of their owners, along with repentance to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) for that. May Allah forgive us, you, and all Muslims. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
