Q1: Is it recommended that when performing the night prayer, the prayer should begin with light rak'ahs, specifically the first two?
A1: It is the Sunnah (recommended practice) for the one who prays the night prayer alone to begin with two light rak'ahs, following the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
