The ruling on praying two rak'ahs on the night of entering upon the wife
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
When a man marries a woman, it is said that he must pray two rak'ahs for himself and two rak'ahs for his life partner. My question is: What does he say when he makes his intention in the prayer?
I hope you will answer me. May Allah reward you with good.
Answer:
It is narrated from some of the Companions that they would pray two rak'ahs when entering upon their wife on the first night. I do not know of any explicit text from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding this. If he does so, there is nothing wrong with it. If he prays two rak'ahs and supplicates to his Lord, asking Allah to grant him success and to unite him and her in goodness, that is good, if Allah wills, and there is no blame on him. And if she also prays two rak'ahs and supplicates to Allah, asking Him to unite them in goodness and guidance, all of this is fine. However, I do not know of an authentic hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding this, and the matter is broad in this regard. Yes.
