Q 1: What is the ruling on placing something in the mouth, such as cloves, during prayer ?
A 1 : It is not permissible for the one praying to place anything in his mouth during prayer; because that distracts him from the recitation or requires chewing and swallowing, and this is an action that is incompatible with prayer. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
