Preoccupation with work on the pretext of performing the adhkar

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 17210 )
Q: We are employees of a government institution that produces water and electricity. Working there requires care and precision in meeting deadlines and punctuality. The management has allocated half an hour for the Zuhr prayer, but some employees are late after this designated time, which affects production. Their excuse for the delay is that they
are completing the prescribed adhkar after the prayer and the rawatib. Do the adhkar and rawatib become waived for us in this case, in order to preserve work time, since it is obligatory? Please answer us, may Allah reward you.

A : Allocating half an hour during work for the performance of the prayer is sufficient. As for being preoccupied with work on the pretext of performing the adhkar, this is a dereliction of duty. A person can remember Allah while at work or on his way to it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
