Prostration of Recitation Without Ritual Purity
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of the fatwa number ( 17763 )
Q 2: I used to listen to the Qur'an, and when I reached a prostration verse, I did not prostrate because I was not in a state of ritual purity? What is the ruling?
A 2: It is recommended for the reciter and the listener to perform the prostration of recitation, but the listener does not prostrate until the reciter prostrates. There is no harm in performing the prostration of recitation while a person is not in a state of ritual purity, according to the correct opinion of the scholars; because it is not known that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered ritual purity for the prostration of recitation. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
