The second question of fatwa number ( 17930 )
Q 2: What is the ruling on the prayer of an imam who reads the prostration verse and then bows without completing the verse?
A 2: The recitation in prayer after al-Fatihah must be a complete verse or more, and reciting part of a verse is not sufficient; because of the saying of Allah the Exalted:[Al-Muzzammil 73:20] , and reciting part of a verse is not called recitation, but his prayer is valid; because the recitation after al-Fatihah is not obligatory.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
