He caught the 'Isha' prayer in shortened form and wants to follow those praying Maghrib

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 20770 )
Q 1: If I am a traveler and the 'Isha' prayer catches up with me in shortened form, and I find a congregation praying the Maghrib prayer, do I join them in the prayer directly from the first rak'ah, and then after the first tashahhud, when the imam
stands up for the third rak'ah, I say the taslim, or do I wait for the imam to say the taslim so I say it with him, or do I let them pray the first rak'ah and then I start praying with them from the second and third rak'ahs so I say the taslim with them? Which is correct?

A 1: It is prescribed for you to pray 'Isha' alone for two rak'ahs if you are a traveler. As for if you are a resident, you pray Maghrib with them with the intention of 'Isha', and when the imam says the taslim, you complete your prayer. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
