A traveler who did not pray Maghrib and caught the imam in the second rak'ah of the 'Isha' prayer: what is required of him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A traveling man prayed Maghrib with a congregation that was completing the 'Isha' prayer. What should he do if he missed the first rak'ah?

The Shaykh : Yes, if a man enters the mosque and finds the people praying the 'Isha' prayer while he has not yet prayed Maghrib, he should enter with them intending to pray Maghrib. If he caught them in the first rak'ah, then when the imam stands for the fourth rak'ah, he should sit, recite the tashahhud, and say the taslim. Then he should stand with the imam for the remainder of the 'Isha' prayer. If he entered with him in the second rak'ah, as I mentioned, he should say the taslim with the imam, and that will count as his Maghrib prayer. Then he should perform the 'Isha' prayer afterwards.

The questioner : Your Eminence, what is the ruling on acting or drama, and what are its guidelines, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : What?
