A patient whose feet are facing the opposite direction of the qiblah: does he pray in this position?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 19564 )
Q 1: A person is suffering from fractures in both feet, in addition to a fracture in his left hand, and is being treated in a hospital on a bed, with his feet facing the opposite direction of the qiblah. Does he pray in this position? It is known that the direction of the bed cannot be changed due to the presence of medical devices behind the patient's head.
A 1 : It is permissible for him if it is not possible to adjust the bed or to face the qiblah himself;
due to the saying of Allah, the Exalted:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[At-Taghabun 64:16]
.

Q 2: Is it permissible for him to combine and shorten the prayers between Zuhr and 'Asr, and between Maghrib and 'Isha'? It is known that he is a resident of the city of al-Khabar , and is currently being treated in Riyadh ? And is it permissible for him to perform tayammum only due to the difficulty of performing wudu with water?
A 2 : It is permissible for him to combine and shorten the prayers; because he is in the ruling of a traveler if his stay is for the purpose of treatment, and he has not previously intended to stay for more than four days. If he had intended to stay for more than four days when he arrived in Riyadh , then he prays four rak'ahs, and there is no blame on him for combining Zuhr and 'Asr in the time of one of them, and Maghrib and 'Isha in the time of one of them. It is permissible for him to perform tayammum if he is unable to use water, and no one is available to perform wudu for him. He must use a rough piece of cloth to wipe away urine and feces three times or more until the area is purified before performing wudu and before performing tayammum. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
