Q: We ask about the validity of performing the Friday prayer on Friday instead of the midday prayer, for only one month, in a rented hall, given that there are two congregational mosques where the five daily prayers and the Friday prayer are performed, and they become too crowded during the month of Ramadan.
A: If the situation is as described, that the number of worshippers increases in the month of Ramadan and the two mosques become too crowded for them, then there is no harm in your renting a prayer hall that can accommodate the remaining worshippers, and performing the Friday prayer and its sermon there, since establishing multiple Friday prayers in one town when there is a need is permissible. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
