The Friday Prayer for Those on Shift Work, or Is It Obligatory for Them to Perform It at Their Work Sites

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The ninth question from Fatwa No. ( 19773 )
Q 9: Is the Friday prayer excused for those on shift work, or are they obligated to perform it at their work sites? Knowing that the number of shift workers at a single site does not exceed ten.
A 9: If the work requires shifts in order to maintain security, then the Friday prayer is excused for the shift worker, and he prays the midday prayer in its place. It is not permissible to perform the Friday prayer at the shift location, as there is no evidence for such a practice. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
