Establishing the Prayer

The second question of Fatwa No. ( 17938 )
Q 2: Is it permissible to perform the iqamah with the call as in the adhan ? That is: twice, twice, or is it better to shorten it to once?
A 2: The iqamah consists of eleven phrases, each phrase is said once without
repetition, except for the takbir and (the prayer has begun), which are said twice; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Bilal to make the adhan even-numbered and the iqamah odd-numbered, except for the iqamah - meaning: the prayer has begun - and the takbir, and because it is established from the hadith of Abdullah ibn Zayd ibn Abd Rabb, who was shown the adhan and the iqamah, that he repeated the takbir in the iqamah twice, at its beginning and its end, and it is recommended to hasten in the iqamah, unlike the adhan, in which one proceeds slowly. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
