Q: What is the ruling on a person who is tied up and the time for prayer arrives: does he pray while tied, or does he make up the prayer or not? If you answer, please provide the Qur'anic verses and Prophetic hadiths regarding this.
A: It is obligatory for one whose time for prayer has entered and he is unable to perform it because he is tied up to pray according to his condition; due to the saying of Allah the Exalted:[At-Taghabun 64:16] , and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih al-Bukhari 7288 . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
