A situation befalling the imam that prevents him from completing the prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 20029 )
Q2: If the imam falls down while he is in prayer, what is required of the ma'mums ? Should they rescue him, or should they continue the prayer and have one person rescue him?
A2 : If a situation befalls the imam that prevents him from completing the prayer, such as fainting or the like, then one of the ma'mums should step forward to complete the prayer with them, as happened in the story of 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). And if the imam needs someone to assist him, it is permissible for one of the ma'mums or more to assist him, and then they make up their prayer afterwards. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
