The Prayer of Children in the First Row

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question from Fatwa number ( 19503 )
Q2: Is it permissible for a boy or young boys to pray in the first row behind the imam in congregational prayer? Please inform us, may Allah preserve you, with a sufficient and adequate answer to this issue, which has caused much confusion and mixing among us, and may Allah reward you with good.
A2 : It is established in the authentic Sunnah to encourage the people of knowledge and virtue in religion to advance in the rows of prayer and be close to the imam; because they are more deserving of honor, and because the imam may need to be replaced, in which case they are the most qualified, and because they are alert to notify the imam of forgetfulness in matters that others do not notice. Among the hadiths indicating this is what is established in the Sahih of Muslim and others from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he
said:
let those of your who are sedate and prudent be near me, then those who are next to them, then those who are next to themليلني منكم أولو الأحلام والنهى، ثم الذين يلونهم ثم الذين يلونهم
Sunan Abi Dawud 674Sahih (Al-Albani)
, and it is established from the hadith of Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) loved for the Muhajireen and the Ansar to stand closest to him in prayer so that they could learn from himكان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يحب أن يليه المهاجرون والأنصار في الصلاة ليأخذوا عنه
, narrated by Ahmad and the people of the Sunan except Abu Dawud with a good chain. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
