Covering the face and hands of a woman in prostration
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 21139 )
Q1: When I perform the prayer in the presence of non-mahram men, I keep my face covering hanging down, and I continue to wear gloves and socks during the prayer. In the case of prostration, I prostrate with my face covering hanging down without lifting it, because lifting it causes a lot of movement in my prayer, and I continue to wear the gloves and socks. Is my prostration in this manner valid?
A1: What you are doing in your prayer in the presence of non-mahram men
regarding covering the face and hands, even in prostration, is obligatory for you; because it is not permissible for a woman to expose any part of her body to non-mahram men, neither in the state of prayer nor otherwise. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
